Individual Adult TreatmentMy therapeutic philosophy is empathic and interactive, analytic and flexible with what you need. Our work will be based on a collaborative psychotherapy that will consider the whole of you and your health. It could involve psychodynamic insight, coaching, cognitive-behavioral approaches, motivational counseling, relaxation & mindfulness practices, or other types of mind-body neuroscience-informed work.
If meds could be of help, we will carefully consider judiciously using them as one part of an integrative health approach. If meds have not been helpful, we may consider a careful & slow taper. An integrative medicine approach may also include supplements. I draw on my wide range of experience to best be of help to you. Treatment Issues

Couples TreatmentMy couples therapeutic philosophy is based on enhancing empathy and improving communication between you as partners. I believe that the challenges of a partnership offers one of life's best opportunities for deep growth of the self and the spirit. I don't think that any one formula works for each couple. You, as a couple, have a unique chemistry, and it is from that position that I hope we find your best path. I draw on my wide range of experience to best be of help to you.
Patient testimonial: "Dr. Abramowitz is one of the rarest psychiatrist-psychoanalysts I have consulted and by whom have treated for my personal and marriage issues. She is honest, professional and a solution finder. Her astute observation and analytic assessment in pointing out problems in my relationships with family members saved my life. She is a subject matter expert in addiction recovery and counseling. Her referrals and recommendations are spot on. She has deep understanding of cultural diversity." Health Grades Review |
